We're back to basics this week.  Greg took off to Australia for a few weeks and we have no interviews or guests on the show for the first time in months, so we're just talking about a bunch of fights.

The UFC returns this weekend with UFC on FX: Belfort vs. Rockhold, live from Brazil.  We discuss how the final Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold will do in his first big test in the big leagues against a legend like Vitor Belfort. Unfortunately for everyone, the rest of the card is a lot less intriguing than the main event.

Then we check in with the highly-ranked UFC Lightweight TJ Grant, a week before the biggest matchup of his career against Gray Maynard.  There's also a ton of weird MMA news this week including Pat Healy's costly drug failure, Mark Hunt being trapped in New Zealand, Nick Diaz wanting to start his own crazy promotion, and other wacky Bellator and Invicta FC news.

Canadian UFC Fighter Month continues on The Hammer MMA Radio, and this week we're catching up with UFC Middleweight Nick Ring to talk about his recent career, and also about the assault that he stopped last year in Calgary.

UFC 159: Jones vs. Sonnen is over and done with. Eyes were poked, fingers were bent, and toes were near-severed on a night full of crazy and ridiculous injuries.  We recap all of the weirdness in depth, and also wonder where Chael Sonnen can possibly go from here.

UFC 159: Jones vs. Sonnen is coming up this weekend, and while the build-up to the main event is surprisingly lacking in excitement, the rest of the card is still full of interesting fights.  One of those fights is Olympic Silver Medalist Sara McMann and we speak with her about her MMA career up to this point, her upcoming match with Sheila Gaff, and what it's like to enter the UFC for the first time.

We also recap last weekend's UFC On Fox 7: Henderson vs. Melendez.  There's plenty to discuss in the aftermath between a somewhat controversial decision in the main event, a surprise wedding proposal, and a near-record amount of violent knockouts.

This week we have top Canadian Bantamweight Josh Hill on the show for the first time in almost two years. Josh made his name in The Score Fighting Series promotion and is now on his way to Las Vegas to try out for the next season of The Ultimate Fighter. We talk about what the tryouts may be like, the Ontario MMA scene, and the current Bantamweight competition both in and out of the UFC.

After that we preview this weekend's The Fighter Finale headlined by Urijah Faber vs. Scott Jorgensen, and recap a ton of great fights from last weekend including Bellator 95, Invicta FC 5, and UFC on Fuel 9.

It's kind of a different show this week. As you'd expect we start off with the latest Georges St. Pierre and Nick Diaz wackiness.  Yes there's a conspiracy afoot and it involves scales and decimal points.  We also talk GSP's new movie role, the latest World Series of Fighting 2 event, poor Melvin Guillard, and some bad luck for Dan Hardy.

The second half of the episode has our interviews with various UFC personnel recorded at one of their recent UFC Community Works Programs.  We spoke with UFC legend Matt Hughes, current UFC fighters Francis Carmont, TJ Grant and Tyron Woodley, and UFC Head of Canadian Operations Tom Wright about the positive work that they accomplished at a local school.
